Truth? Some days just feel a bit more fulfilling than others. There are days when a surprise visit or an extended visit or even a short visit feel SO. GOOD. It is a good day when we feel like we have made just a tiny bit of difference. When we feel like we touched some person’s life. Connected with a person on a deeper level than, “How are you today?” Maybe it’s a short conversation. A small interaction. A seemingly anonymous moment that melts another person’s heart.

When grief makes the world feel dark, the promise of a new day can feel terribly far away. Sometimes, it’s okay to sit with the clouds while remembering that the sun is still there.
